Jeneen’s beguiling good looks led to her being talent spotted on the streets and placed in her first television commercial for United Overseas Bank. Later that year, she was spotted again for Snap, a variety programme on Channel U, where she beat other participants for the title of “Mr/Ms XFactor” through public voting. Jeneen’s fresh face then caught the eye of producers and she was cast as the lead actress in Blueprint – Missing, a Channel 5 tele‐movie.

Having spurred her interest in acting, she started taking on roles in local drama serials and acted alongside veterans in the industry. Jeneen played as Adrian Pang’s sister in a Channel U tele-drama, Bridge, and also acted alongside Joanne Peh in Huo Xia Qu 活下去, a Channel 8 drama serial, amongst several others.

Her multi-talents were taken a step further when she represented then Singapore MediaWorks in Ms Star, a ‘live’ talent show, and competed against participants from America, Australia, Hong Kong and China. The competition took her to Genting, Malaysia and Hunan, China where she showcased her natural flair for acting, dancing and hosting.

Jeneen’s charismatic appeal led her to continue working on various print and television commercials, a notable one being a campaign for Johnson and Johnson Acuvue contact lenses. She is also no stranger to the local media, having done numerous spreads for magazines and named as one of FEMALE magazine’s 50 Gorgeous People.

A keen learner, Jeneen majored in Multimedia in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts to hone her acting craft and also to grasp a better understanding of the television media industry. There, she was heavily involved in on‐ and off‐screen school productions. To further improve her acting abilities, she went on to enroll herself in a Speech and Drama course that was modeled after the Trinity/Guildhall (London) exam syllabus at Centre Stage School of The Arts.

In her relentless pursuit to become an all-rounded artiste, Jeneen was personally coached in dance by Xuegao, a renowned Taiwanese dancer, teacher and choreographer who trained and choreographed for many popular Asian artistes including Jay Chou, Jolin Tsai and JJ Lin. She also learnt Jazz Ballet at the Singapore Dance Theatre. Vocally, Jeneen has been trained by John Lee and Nicole Lai. She also plays the piano and has been classically trained since the age of 4. She is currently taking pop-piano classes to expand her genre in piano playing.

In 2007, she participated in Channel 8’s Star Search 才华横溢出新秀 where she emerged top 20 amongst thousands who auditioned from Singapore, Malaysia, China and Taiwan. She went through 4 months of intensive preparations, trainings and eliminations that involved her competing through rounds of acting, dancing, martial arts, question and answer and personal talent showcase. She was eventually placed top 8.

In 2008, she garnered a supporting role in Channel 8’s biggest production ever, Little Nyonya 小娘惹, sharing the screen with Jeneatte Aw and Joanne Peh. She then went on to film another tele‐movie for Channel 5, Goodbye Kucinta and acted in a feature film, Dinner with a local production house gaining much praises from the Directors she has worked with.

In 2009, Jeneen showcased her talent in numerous Channel 8 dramas such as 未來不是梦, 双子星, 企鹅爸爸, Mr & Mrs Kok, 当我们同在一起 and most recently a Channel U tele‐movie, 向日癸的约定 The Promise.

Jeneen has an unfaltering passion for performing and feels truly alive when she is doing so. She hopes to take on different challenging roles in the future and grow as a performing artiste.
